Pomona’s Casa Alvarado-Circa 1837

Buy history. Homes are always available in the Los Angeles Real Estate Market , but Casa Alvarado is historic and serves as one of the few remaining original adobe ranch homes. Original touches still remain throughout the residence, and it remains true to it’s form from the Mexican frontier period. Casa Alvarado was built on one sole condition, that a chapel be placed in the home for weekly mass, as at the time, The San Gabriel Mission was the closest mass available (20 miles west). “El Pino” in East LA

Not too often do I get to drive through East LA, but I had a little work to take care of and of course I had to stop and eat at King Taco. Being in East LA I always look for “El Pino”. The pine tree made famous in the movie Blood in Blood Out. And here is a photo of it from today.
