One by one it seems like the ugly houses are being picked off by investors. In what has been considered to be a marginal area, “Frog town” is now obtaining some attention in the flipping world. And why not? Surrounded by Silver Lake, Echo Park and Atwater. These homes are very much still affordable and very close to all the action. There is also no views, close to some really undesirable areas and of course the train tracks, LA River, the 5 freeway and a lot of commercial/industrial area. But so what. Most forget that Echo Park was at one point “scary”, and a home in Echo Park was dirt cheap. So is Frog Town the new up and coming real estate pocket? Maybe. But it’ll be a while to truly know. I believe it’ll get better. And the flipping crew of Better Shelter has stampted there work on 2647 PIRTLE ST , Los Angeles 90039 which has just closed escrow for above asking price. And I’m noticing some other projects are happening here. For those looking for a more affordable alternative then Echo Park Real Estate, Silver Lake Real Estate or Atwater Village Real Estate.
